Fluffy Egg Nest

Yum, is all I could think as I sat down the back of the classroom smelling the delicious aroma of eggs and toast cooking. Not a pin could be heard dropping as my Year 7's enjoyed eating the fruits of their labour! What a way to Break the Fast!

Gone Sailing

Many thanks to Rotary St Johns and Yachting New Zealand for the wonderful experience our Yr 7 & 8 students had off Okahu Bay yesterday. Arriving with a bunch of excitedly nervous children and leaving with a crew of sailors was testament to the fabulous learning and hands on experience delivered to us by Kim, Robbie and Molly. Although the wind decided to play it low for a while there was still a lot to learn and of course water to plunge into! Thanks to Gary (and Harriet), Penny and Leslie from St Johns Rotary for coming down and meeting with us so we were able to say 'Thank You with so much gratitude' in person! Thanks also to Colin for putting it all together to make it all possible!

Saint Patrick's had a fantastic day which we will remember for life!

Quoted from Aleenah's Blog:

"Last year the Year 7 & 8's were unlucky since covid struck and they couldn't go sailing. Now I am most grateful to St. John's Rotary & Yachting NZ for giving my friends and I the opportunity of a lifetime. It has sparked an interest in me and to maybe pursue sailing in the future."

Quoted from Augustine's Blog:

"had a wonderful experience sailing and realised that I would like to sail again but with my family. When we got back to school we couldn't stop talking about the day because we had such a great time.
I would thank St Johns Rotary and Yachting New Zealand for giving all of us such a fun opportunity to learn some skills about sailing.

Note:
- No child got hurt - just wet."
